My friend Luke and I had been keeping an eye on the weather in Yosemite throughout the week. We wanted to capture the Valley blanketed in snow, and get that morning fog for some added drama.

We arrived in Yosemite Valley about 9 pm to clear skies and a full moon. We stopped near Bridal Veil Falls, with a clear shot of El Capitan in front of us as well. We were both loving the way the moonlight was hitting the Dawn Wall, throwing a dark shadow over the face that we could see.

From there we made a couple of more loops around the Valley before stopping at a nice pullout under El Capitan.
